"The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it."
Thucydides
Ancient Greek Historian

The model of the Jesus is the only vision worth following. This vision produces two emotions in me: excitement and fear. Excitement because I know what can await me when I pursue and attain that vision. Fear because I know how much my flesh is prone to fail. What if I don't make it? What if I fall? What if I lose heart? Hmmm. There seems to be an excessive use of the personal pronoun 'I' in the last few sentences. It isn't ALL about ME! 'It is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me.' (Gal. 2:20) 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' (Php. 4:13) God said to Paul, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength works best in your weakness.' (2 Cor. 12:8-9) So therein lies the answer. Lean hard on your God. Daily acknowledge your inability to accomplish ANYTHING of eternal consequence without Him. As we surrender to Him daily, He gives us the strength and wisdom we need to live as true disciples. Have I told you lately that you are incredible? Well, you are!"
